I Had One Job...

It was a Tuesday, as I recall; costumes had been made, lines rehearsed, and songs to praise the Holiest of Holies had been memorized by all. The only thing missing was a video camera to record the 2022 CDC Christmas Program. Fortuitously, the video camera arrived with only minutes to spare leaving Dad just one job, press record. Being the Swiss Army Knife of dads has its advantages, e.g. fame and the admiration of friends and family, but it means the bar is set high and the margin for error, razor thin. The children squealed with excitement as the teachers corralled them like feral cats at the back of the church. The families of these tiny performers sat in peace, if only for a moment, before the shepherds, wise men, angels, farm animals, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph marched to stage. I had one job, press record.

I have created this site to facilitate the sharing of videos CDC families recorded of our little ones at the program because, as you may have guessed, I failed to effectively press the REC button and verify that video was being recorded. My plan with the files I receive will be to overlay all of the video and sound to create a production quality video that catches multiple perspectives and takes full advantage of the audio from various sources.
